It took me a few weeks to catch up with 2 years of unfinished work at Blueland.

What shocked me to the core is the sudden disappearance of many players in Crescent, comparatively to pre-Luna Plus days. I told myself, this cannot be true. It cannot be happening to the biggest official Luna server in the world.

As I mingle with the community, guildmates and friends, I began to slowly piece together everything, from where I left off, right up till today of what is remnant at Crescent.

Here are a few pertinent discoveries I have made:-

a) Changes have been made to players’ skills and stats, which many claimed to have effectively reduced their characters’ grinding or pvp abilities. A lot of ex-players are unhappy over this issue.

b) The introduction of hidden maps that appears to be unfinish by design that gave certain players unfair advantage over those who are not technically capable of bypassing glitch obstacles to reach these hidden spots. Draconian Tombs and WindMills are 2 such examples, though Tombs have now been officially opened and accessible directly without the need for any glitch ride.

c) The emergence of dominant forces in Blueland whose leaders capitalises on these technicalities in order to remain in power and top level positions in the game.

In the past, Slytherins migrated from Runup server (a Malaysian based Luna setup) because we’re quite tired with arguments of hackers and over the lack of support from the game masters to release new maps.

We came to GPotato’s Crescent because of these grounds; i.e. new maps are available here and hack issues do not exist at all.

However with the introduction of Luna Plus and the glitch maps, we’re now back to square one. Like the hackers issue in Runup, glitch maps introduced a whole new level of unfair advantage to players who chose to use them. Although technically it is not hacking, but the consequences are the same; a vast majority of players without knowledge of the existence of such maps will be left to wonder how to overcome the dragnet and to achieve the max level 150 like some players easily do.

The argument and points raised in GPotato’s forums are to a great extent emotionally driven, some nagging about these unfair treatment while some would make sinister remarks such as “if you don’t like it, you can leave the game.”

Yeah, Luna Plus is merely a game, but the fact still remains that a good number of players continually invest real money into the game to gain access to rare items and facilities. And these players are not the only ones who makes the economy in Blueland thrive, but they are also fundamentally the pillars that supported GPotato’s servers financially and enable it remain operational.

So if the news goes out that, oh yeah, you don’t need to spend big money to get to Level 150. All you need is to join a certain union/guild in game, go paddy into their inner-circle and learn how to glitch ride, spot camp 24×7 and  leeching, you can elevate from Level 110 to 150 in no time. Let the rest continue to troll painfully in other maps and pay for the game with their real money while the self-proclaim elites rule over the rest with hardly any effort.

And while you are at it, don’t forget your duties to spot-camp at other important sites where other gold bosses spawn, to prevent other lesser souls getting their hands on materials vital for the construction of rare eqs. Once you dominated the rare eq market, put some final effort and ensure tenias remain cheaply available, as you will need them for grinding at WindMills Island. It does not matter that other lower levels need to spend hours harvesting each stack for you, as long you get to Level 150 at the expense of those not within your circle of alliance, all other matters are of non-importance. Not a single dollar required.

Hacking? Glitching? My opinion is that both are 2 sides of the same coin. It will gradually kill off both Eclipse and Crescent servers as soon as more and more players finds out about the untold truth. Just like what unregulated hacking did to Runup’s Luna servers.

Sounds familiar to you? Yeah, that’s what happened to Runup’s servers. You don’t need to invest real money into the game. Just hack your way to the top, you will be high level in no time and have lots of gems for sale to get you rich in game. Again, not a single dollar required.

And now rumours goes around saying that Eclipse and Crescent are possibly merging. Sounds even more familiar and even more like Runup’s servers. LoL

Maybe these are the reasons that led to the disappearance of multitude of players from both Eclipse and Crescent. In my honest opinion, what is being allowed to continually happen or neglected in GPotato’s Luna is the beginning of the end for both Eclipse and Crescent.

Criticized, ridiculed and chided as noobs, xTheLastSongx decided to leave their ex-union for greener pastures. But what made its President, xXGuR2Xx clicked on the “Quit Union” button is when he was instructed that unless he does as he was told to do, his Guild will be kicked from the union.

A small but reasonably active guild with lots of potential. And they fit our bill. As Hogwarts Union is no recycle bin for top ranking players but a camp where noobs and newbies are groomed into high level players to rival the best. xTheLastSongx are now with us, in the Hogwarts union.

Today we had the opportunity to purchased 2 plots of farms at the Alker Farm. While I had no issues securing one plot, Niter was a little jittery when he ran into some minor problem for no having sufficient members in his family to meet the purchase requirements.

get mine done up in minutes

When I was feeding my first few dragons and turtles, I received several disturbing notes from an ex-member which contains some relevant points over an ongoing problem Slytherin is facing at Crescent.

I felt it is important for me to address Alvin’s (not his real nickname) accusations against me and if I don’t, the situation may deteriorate further.

Here’s the screenshots of his notes to me, with nicknames and guild names deleted, as my intention is highlight the issue and not to counter-accuse.

Yesterday, I sent Alvin a note asking him if he knows of anyone in our guild who is relaying information to other competing guilds. And he left Slytherin and sent me these disturbing replies instead.

Well, Alvin, I believe there are many other issues that you may be unaware of and you never gave me the opportunity to reply your accusations as your note list is full making it impossible for me to send you any notes. I’ll explain it to you in full now.

Several weeks ago, Slytherin was training with several members of Guild FierceChaos (not the real guild name) at the Great Gardens. In the course, we were chatting and toyed with the idea of merging as one union. Ultimately, we decided not to merge as we have other guilds in our own union, making it difficult to merge with FierceChaos who already are head of their own respective union.

Then about a week or two later, we began to receive multiple war declarations from FierceChaos and its President has been continuously spamming my screen with his declarations while I was training and despite me rejecting his requests for battle.

But what baffles me is that while FierceChaos’ President is sending me repeated war requests, members of FierceChaos are on the other hand, asking Niter and me to tank for them at the Great Gardens. But surely it is natural for me to feel bizarre why FierceChaos is asking us to help them train stronger to defeat us. Don’t you agree, Alvin?

Then there was an incident at Zakandia Village, when one of FierceChaos’ members defeated me in a duel. I was a little curious how my 13 stabs of Holy Spear of 1.4k dmg did not enable me to defeat the monk. So I inspected a video that I have taken of the duel and I sent a note to that FierceChaos member telling him/her that using potions during duels is not appropriate. Well, if both of us used potions, the duel might go on and on without a winner.

After the note I sent to that FierceChaos member, again FierceChaos’ President spammed my screen with war declarations repeatedly.

And we had more issues plaguing us later. Slytherin members were KSed everywhere, and while our main team was training, we have had all kinds of stealths kiting mozzies and mantis into our path with the intention to disrupt us at the Great Gardens.

I checked with Azaelea, the President of Extortion, and asked her regarding Guild FierceChaos. But it was the last straw for me that while I was in party with several Extortion members, I personally witnessed a stealth from FierceChaos attacked one of Extortion’s members unprovoked, when we were training. They came and knocked out our DPSes while several of us are on R2s.

To make matters worse, my fishermen at Alker Farm had even witnessed FierceChao’s President himself entering the farm and killing Extortion’s fishermen in AFK. These are acts that are blatantly intended to cause economic damage to others.

That’s how I decided to work with Extortion to protect ourselves and our union guilds.

But this is not the end. We knew there were several players in Slytherin who has been relaying our guild information to others. So that’s the reason I sent you, Alvin, a note asking you if you knew who else might be involved. But I got your disturbing replies instead. How unfortunate. Your replies indirectly confirms what I had been suspecting all along. And I do not like to be the least involved in any bit of these racist nonsense that you and your friends are propagating.

Alvin, I don’t think this issue is about Malaysia versus Philippines. And in Slytherin we had Filipinos, Malaysians, Americans, Indonesians, Europeans and many more from all parts of the world. For the record, it is my desire to build a guild of people from all over the world. But that does not mean I don’t get rid of players whom are doing things against our guild’s interest, regardless of which country he or she may be from.

If you are a member of WildAlcohol, you give 110% loyalty to WildAlcohol. If you are a member of PhoenixIgnited, your 110% goes to PhoenixIgnited. Same here, if you are a member of Slytherin, we expect you to be 110% loyal to Slytherin. Regardless of which country you are from, you give 110% to the guild you belonged to. What you are doing is called “guild treason”. And in real life, many countries would have hanged their citizens who commits treason, including yours.

Yes, you are right when you said I’m annoyed and angry with FierceChaos and its leaders, but because of their strange behaviour of liking to terrorize other players AND  certainly not due to the racist reasons you accused of me in your notes.

And Alvin, during that particular incident that kicked this whole ruckus loose, where a FierceChaos stealth killed a guildie from Extortion, the victim from Extortion was actually a Pinoy like you. And we also have a high level Malaysian player who left us because our tanks did not agree to his demands for one-to-one party training. To put it squarely, Slytherin does not practice any form of racial discrimination and our members are retained, promoted, kicked or asked to leave based on merits alone.

While I maintain our stand that we will remain in Crescent server as a competitive group of players, but I will not tolerate any form of racism. Several days ago, someone used the megaphone and said “Asians Rules here”. I’m not sure what that person is up to, but I’m one Asian who does not agree with his statement. Crescent is a great Luna server and it belongs to everyone, not just Asians.

In fact, at Crescent server, we Asians are guests and not the hosts. Therefore we ought to conduct ourselves with good behaviour and decency as we are welcomed as guests in this great server despite our shortcomings .

Whilst inter-guild competition is allowed and encouraged, but pitting a nation against another is dangerous. Any attempts to mix healthy competition with racism shall result in a recipe for your own disaster. Period.

The bonanza 2X EXP Event is finally over. While many were not online but some of you made several levels with the 24 hour window of the event. Congratulations to those who managed to make use of the double bonus to level up.

Slytherin and Extortion secured Channel One at the Great Gardens for continuous, non-stop training, with Western time zoned Extortion(ists) occupying the first 12 hours and later handing the spot down to Slytherin for the second half period of the event.

Our numbers was so big that we had to split up into
teams of two, with the higher level players taking
the West Wing of the Map

And several other mid level players taking the
other East Wing side of the map

But this guy, Loiz, is Slytherin’s event hero. He was
barely Level 50++ before the event, and made it
to Level 76 24 hours later.

He could easily & effortlessly tame the dogs
at the Dark Portal, and make them do any tricks

The EXPs are getting stiffer and stiffer by the day and once I leave GG permanently, it is going to be a really tough ride to Level 120. Doing mozzies at GG is not easy, hard work is still needed, yet mozzies are but  a gift to Lunarians; they provide superb EXP count for party trainers when you are anything between Level 75 to Level 102.

I spent a couple of hours at Nera Harbor today, hunting for some Rune Carving Ores and to seek out the legendary One Eyed Wookie Boss who drops the Level 106  KYNEE Helmet with Stealth Skill.

You guys should check out the KYNEE Helmet too, with one, any player can stealth and hide like a thief. Can you imagine a Paladin hiding like a thief. LoL! This is gonna be fun …

with the use of blunt shield, BlueElven and I
took him down in less than 10 minutes.

The deal is sealed. Hogwarts Union and Slytherin have worked out a partnership with Extortion, where both teams shall promote joint training at the Great Gardens. Extortion shall be given access to use our tank service in exchange for their DPS efforts.

Also on the drawing board, tanks from both teams shall practice dual-tank techniques in order to attain maximum EXP per session with minimum use of EXP scrolls. This training method is essential to counter rule-breaking war mongers who attack us during training. While speed is maintained, the non-use of scrolls shall prevent economic damage to our peers when any attack happens.

Bringing both teams together is going to be our opponent’s greatest mistake.

We had a simple, quick get together, for those who still manage to log in to Runup’s Slime Server. The entire town at Alker Harbor is completely decimated, with only us and 1 or 2 more players around.

This will be our final stop to Slime and after October, all references to Runup’s Luna will be removed from our guild blog permanently.

But Slytherins shall always remember Runup’s Luna as it is the birth place of our guild and the point where our guild leaders started off as noobs.

The End !

It is great to see so many Slytherins gearing towards the fourth job change. But as we race towards our goal, let’s be reminded of several issues that affects us as community members of Crescent Luna.

Our guild is known to be actively training daily at the Great Gardens and somehow our persistent presence at GG appears to have unintentionally annoyed other players along the way. Sometimes we occupy 2 channels concurrently. Well, training spots are limited and the fact that most level 75 to 100 chose to train at the Great Gardens did not help dilute the problems either.

I would like to emphasize several rules that we ought to observe from now. Firstly, Slytherin members are not allowed to do “spot hogging” or “spot camping”. This means unless your party is ready to grind, DO NOT stay in AFK mode at any of the channels in GG. GG does not belong to us alone, and please be considerate to allow others to use the mozzie spots when your party is not grinding. And if you see other players spot camping, leave their spot immediately for another time to train or switch channels. It is others’ right to spot hog and we can’t prevent them from doing so.

Secondly, if you are dragged into any spot or territory tussles, GIVE WAY to others. There’s always another time to train and 3 other channels to choose from. Slytherins are prohibited from engaging in any form of turf arguments.

Thirdly, there are recent incidents where other higher level mobs are deliberately dragged into our training territories, causing EXP damage to some of you. If you are victim, stay calm and do not respond. Continue with your grinding activities if you have to. But DO NOT retaliate by doing something similarly foolish. The best practice is DO NOT do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you.

If you are between level 75 to 85, try using other training spots like the Valley of Fairies. Treents give good EXPs like mozzies too. Organise your parties with those similar levels with you and try to avoid GG unless you have no other options to train.

There’s also a growing trend that high level players from other guilds are leaving theirs, requesting to join guilds in our union. I’m putting an end to this and Slytherin Guild VPs are no longer allowed to invite new members that are level 41 and over. Only genuine, active, low level players will be accepted for the time being. Guilds Gryffindor, RavenClaw, HufflePuff and ReignFelon are encourage to follow the same to prevent a sudden, unnatural influx of high level players into our union.

More lower level players in Crescent server are now touching level 75++, so the congestion at GG will not be improving for the better anytime soon. So if we keep ourselves checked regularly, I’m sure we can play our little part to improve the worsening conditions at the Great Gardens.

Meanwhile, keep the pace going. While we observe good gaming attitude, our fourth job goal remains! Have fun guys.
