Goodbye Runup Luna

October 11, 2010

We had a simple, quick get together, for those who still manage to log in to Runup’s Slime Server. The entire town at Alker Harbor is completely decimated, with only us and 1 or 2 more players around.

This will be our final stop to Slime and after October, all references to Runup’s Luna will be removed from our guild blog permanently.

The end of Runup’s Luna

October 1, 2010

Latest Update

Slytherin gathering at Runup’s Slime server this Sunday October 3rd has been postponed to Sunday October 10th 11am (GMT +8), to enable member who have deleted their Runup Luna game clients, to download and access Slime Server for the final gathering. Members take note.

Original Post

It’s official. Unpopular Hongkong based MMORPG game operator, Runup, has finally announced the closure of its Luna server for Malaysia and Singapore. Read their annoucement here.

Runup pointed out that “all good things must come to an end” and “the end of something is the beginning of something good”. We sincerely hope they know what they are talking about though it is difficult for us to accept the hard fact that all our time, effort and money spent at Alker/Kierra/Slime servers will soon disappear permanently by end of this month.

Nevertheless, in the final paragraph of their announcement, Runup indicated that in future, they will employ game operators with better knowledge, provide good service and provide good in-game conditions. We shall wait and see what they’ll cook for us but meanwhile, none of us will likely take anymore chances with them until they show some professionalism in the manner they run and operate their MMORPG servers.

Slytherin members, take note that there will be a gathering for its Malaysian and Singaporean members at Runup’s server this Sunday October 3rd, 2010 at 11am (GMT +8), at Alker Harbor Channel 1, Slime Server. We’ll be gathering for some screenshots before the finale and Runup’s curtain call.

Screenshots from Twitter Time Event

September 30, 2010

Well, according to Swish, more than a hundred players turned up at the Zakandia Outpost to corner the Tarintus dragon. GPotato’s newest approach, using Twitter to announce the spawn location, is somewhat received with mix reactions. Though many were more familiar with Facebook tools, anyway Twitter has been effectively used by the game GMs to send the message across.

From Evander’s diary …

September 24, 2010

Farming is one of the integral part of Luna Online. A lot can be achieved from farming, like harvesting enchant scrolls, Almighty worms and some other rare goodies. In Crescent server, trying to own a farm is the difficult thing to do. There’s like well over 10,000 players and only 60 farms to be shared with 5 players per plot.

Owning a farm in GPotato’s Crescent is like trying to make a big dream come true. If anyone wants to sell their farm, let me know. Name your price and I’ll try to match your offer.

Tanking, the Mexican way

September 18, 2010

YEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAA! llegado a papá

DPSes have always resented those invulnerable, heavy armored tanks because of their unusual ability to speed leveling. There’s a way to beat em at their game though, not by might, not by brains but with your pet.
